"Although I gave birth at home, ..."

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

(as the patient),

What I liked

Although I gave birth at home, I was admitted to Queens for minor surgery. Operating theatre staff were fantastic and explained everything to me while it was happening. Very reassuring.

What could be improved

Sometimes could have benefitted from more communication between shifts.

Anything else?

Maternity staff were also fantastic - only letting me leave when they were sure baby was feeding properly. Spent lots of time with us.

Thank you for your compliments towards our hospital. As with all departments at Queen’s Hospital, the Operating Theatre strives to offer all of our patients the comfort and reassurance that such a potentially daunting experience demands.

Deborah Price, Director of Corporate Development.
