"Professional and polite"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I arrived at 11 for my 11. 15 appointment. The receptionist was polite and helpful. At 11. 15 I was called for my appointment. I was introduced to each member of staff and given an explanation of their role. The procedure was explained in detail. The staff were professional and polite throughout. My test was carried out with a full explanation of what was happening (stress echo). At the end I was told what would happen with the result and free to leave. The whole process was friendly, professional and efficient. Thank you and well done.

Response from Marie Helebert, Patient Services Officer, Patient Services, Heart of England Foundation Trust

Dear Many Thanks

It is most appreciated that you have taken the time to post your feedback about your recent experience at Heartlands Hospital's Cardiology Department.

I'm pleased to read that you found the receptionist polite and helpful and that each member of staff introduced themselves appropriately and clearly explained their role and what would be happening to you at each stage.

I will forward your feedback to Sharon Parkinson General Manager for Cardiology as well as Dr Michael Pitt, Clinical Director for Cardiology Services who will ensure that your comments are communicated to all of the Cardiology Team.

I hope this is acceptable and once again thank you for providing your feedback, it is extremely important to us and our staff work very hard to provide a positive patient experience.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
