I recently attended the new endoscopy department for a sigmoidoscopy. Throughout the procedure, from initial assessment to treatment to recovery I was given one-on-one care, detailed and thorough information about the process, an excellent feed-back and courtesy from all staff involved. The department was spotless and well furnished - my appointment time was adhered to and I also felt my privacy was respected. I was worried about the procedure in advance but detailed explanation allayed my fears and the practitioner kept me informed. The process was made as pleasant as it can be and helped by a soothing environment and calm nurses.
