I was admitted for an adrenalectomy cancer on the 29th june. (Monday) . the operation was to remove the tumour which was a secondary cancer from my lung. I arrived at the hospital at 7.00am and was walking into the operating theatre by 9.00am. My surgeon did a fantastic procedure , and by 2.30 pm I was sat up in bed having a late lunch. I felt 110% better. Whilst in the h.d.u. ward I had one nurse designated to me who was so very attentive, and watching this nurse, they really worked hard. The nurse wasn't very old or in my eyes they weren't. The nurse took the time to find out why my blood pressure was always low. After reading my notes and talking to me, the nurse asked the doctor to authorise 2 units of blood. I can't thank this nurse enough, from that day I have never felt better. 100%. I asked the nurse when they were going to be a doctor, the reply was they couldn't afford it. If I won the lottery I would pay the fees. Thank you to the nurse, and St. James. I was home by the Friday afternoon. I cant thank St James enough.
