Everybody was so kind, caring and understanding and despite my nervousness I was put at my ease, outwardly that is. My blood pressure didn't reflect this but that was treated as well, After I came round everybody was very attentive and all my needs were attended to. When I was cleared by the surgeon and anaesthetist I was allowed home with a " goody " bag. Next day they rang me to see how things were and I did have a couple of questions which were fully answered. I was also given contact details if a problem arose, which was just as well as it did and I needed some rather urgent advice about a reaction to one of the drugs I was taking. Again helpful and constructive. Perhaps another follow up phone call , when things were making more sense, a few days later , after the anaesthetic had worn off completely, would have been helpful. My only concern is that I felt that I was not really given enough information on the timings and recovery expectations which have turned out to be longer etc.than I imagined. I am aware everybody is different but a few guidelines would have been helpful.
"Kind, caring and understanding."
