"Many thanks"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

My husband was recently admitted for a pacemaker to be fitted very unexpected. He has onset dementia so very confused and frightened but the kindness and compassion shown to him helped me a great deal.i was allowed to be with him outside of visiting hours and that helped tremendously for both of us. My husband is home and well now thankyou for looking after him so well

Many thanks for your feedback on your husband’s recent admission to the Cardiology Unit at Royal Blackburn Hospital, and thank-you for taking the time to do so. I will make sure your appreciation is passed onto the team who will be delighted to hear that the experience you both had with us was really positive as we always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care. If you would like to talk through the admission with one of our Patient Experience team so we can understand the bits of your experience that made this such a good stay for your husband and yourself we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services. You can either contact me (Melissa Almond) on 01254 734087 or email me on Melissa.almond@elht.nhs.uk Many thanks again for commenting and best wishes. Melissa Almond, Patient Experience Facilitator
