"Pain management injections ( steroids)"

About: Leicester General Hospital

over the past two years I have had three separate appointments for above injections. First time was in total four injections in lower back, lasted once post op pain had gone ( 2 was) about a month mostly pain free. Was told I could have further within six months , this didn't happen and I had to wait around eight months, next time 6 injections, no real help that time , waited again went back had a few more to no real relief . The nursing staff and my pain management doctor are lovely, my concern is communication between the clinics and appointments. Having nerve block this week for new disc problem and I kept been told it would be October and I'm been seen within about four weeks. I work and my company are been very good but even their patience are been tested. This is all due to appointments either taking longer than I believe is acceptable. I'm lucky this time and that is thanks to my pain management doctor and my GP pushing for a cancellation earlier appointment as they were aware of my work and stress situation.
