"The staff could not have been more attentive"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Cancer care and Oncology

(as the patient),

Admitted for pain control (cancer of the bladder) over a stay of 10 days my life has considerably improved. I know I will never be totally well again but the kind attention and care I received has reduced my pain to nothing at all.

The staff could not have been more attentive and kind in their ministrations and I could not be more grateful for all they have achieved to alleviate my pain.

Dear Blaps

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience as an inpatient in Dumfries Hospital. Over the years I have seen how pain control has greatly improved and has managed to improve the quality of life for so many people.

I would be grateful if you were able to indicate which clinical ward or unit you were admitted to, so I would be able to forward your kind words on to the relevant staff.

with best wishes

Hilary
