"I am 30 weeks preagnant and are ..."

What could be improved? I am 30 weeks preagnant and are booked with this hospital to deliver my baby. I am from Norway, and only moved here last august. I have had 3 previous pregnancys in norway and deliverd in hospital there, so i know what to expect. I thought english healthcare would be simular to Norway. but my experience so far has not been very posetive . I had to have to dating scans at the hospital and every time i had to sit and wait for almost one and a half hour before beeing seen. Nex time i had to go to the anateal clinic. Sat there for almost an hour and half this time too, just to be told by the midwife, that she didnt understand why i was there( She didnt read the preagnency notes properly), and sendt me home. My midwife booked another appointment, and yesterday i was back and sat waiting for almost two hours before i myself asked if a was ever going to be seen by someone. I turned out when the finally located my preagnency notes, that the midwife i was supposed to see, had to go to an emergency in the birth center. And now one botherd to tell me about it. I cant begin to tell you how much lack of respect i think it is to treat people that way. You sit and wait for hours, in a warm crowded room, and beeing pregnant is not the most comfortable thing is it? I am used to from Norway, if you get a letter from the hospital confiming you have an appointment at a certain time, you get In there when it says you are soupposed to be there.! It is so disrepectful to be treated that way. What is wrong with your booking system..? Dont you know how to plan a day for hospital paisient bookings..? It seems to me that you book far to many paitents for one day to fit in, and just hpoes that the doctor/ midwife will have time to see everyone by the end of day.What kind of paitient care is that..?No respect for induviduals at all and respect for their time. You obviously lack any talent in planning. I was booked at this hospital not knowing anything about it, my midwife said it was th Anything else? best, so i just agreed whit her on that. I am no so worried about comming there to deliver my baby, Afraid that i will get there, no empty beds, and put in a waitingroom with lots of people ,and have to wait for hours until someone comes and tells me, okay, you can come and have the baby now..! On top of that i am afraid i wil come out of there with an infection, Since i came here i have been working in a private nursinghome( wich is supposed to be one of the best) as a nuse myself And i see the sloppy and carelss way nurses and care staff have, about upholding infection control routines, wich i find increadble. And if that is an excample of the attitude of carestaff in general in england, i am very worried about going to this hospital, with so many people comming and going all the time. And i know that england has a very high rate of infections in hospitals and nursing homes. It also seems to me that you treat people like meat on an asembely line. When you finally get the time to see them, get them out as fast as you can again. In the birth center you are excpected to leave there after 6 hours..? You put new mothers in wards..?? I dont think there has been wards in norwegian hospitals since the 1970"s. What kind of indiuvidual care is that..? and what kind of respect for the induvidual is that.? no wonder, people here find the need for paying for private healthcare, when the public sector has so many obvious problems.
