I am writing to you following a three day stay at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield from the 21st July until the 23rd July for two procedures on my left eye. I have attended the Eye Clinic at the Hospital since 2008 and can only speak of the highest regard for the way I have been treated under the care of my consultants and their teams. I arrived on Tuesday, the 21st of July 2015 and from the moment we arrived I was treated in a most professional and caring manner. It is unfair to pick out anyone person as everyone I met was a member of a great cohesive team. From the Porters, through the people responsible for the cleanliness of the wards, through the Catering staff to all the staff on the ward, it was great to be under the care of such caring people. The food was of excellent quality with a varied menu, and I asked that my compliments be sent to the kitchen. As to the procedures that were carried out, my consultant was assisted by a superb team in the Theatre and Recovery room. Special mention must be made of the anaesthetist, who became quite concerned for my welfare during and after the operation. The anaesthetist took great care of me and ensured I was aware of what I had to do on my return home. This is a magnificent team of caring professionals and I would ask you to pass down my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in my stay in Ward I1. With my very best regards. Yours sincerely John Terry
"just a great experience in I1"
