"Day surgery arthroscopy"

On 11th July I underwent surgery to remove/repair a meniscus tear with a general "tidy up" of my knee. I arrived as requested at 0730 and within 10 mins I was taken through to a cubicle. Teamwork was impressive. My surgeon, anaesthetist & physiotherapist all visited in turn , kept me well informed and ensured I understood the procedure & recovery. All the nurses were cheerful & helpful. I awoke very thirsty but they kept bringing me water and tea , as requested. No one enjoys surgery or hospital , but given the pressures on theNHS I feel the day surgery unit does a great job which deserves to be acknowledged. I am progressing well 2 weeks on and I have already received my follow up appointment. If you need to attend a hospital I would recommend Warwick. Thanks to all involved.
