"Torn muscle injury"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I attended the UCC on Sunday night and was seen within half an hour . Then followed blood tests and a transfer to A&E to see a doctor. Out within 3 hours with a probable diagnosis. Needed an ultrasound scan which discounted DVT. Very good service. The symptoms and swelling persisted. Went to UCC again today, Friday, and was seen by a doctor in UCC within 20 minutes. He asked more related questions (exhibiting proper patient care and attention) and following examination of my leg they told me I had a torn calf muscle. Also informed me of the treatment I should follow and the likely recovery period. The NHS picks up a lot of flak and strong media criticism but my experience could not have been better. Thank you.
