"Too many trips in the last 4 months, but simply..."

About: Colchester General Hospital

Since April 2015 I have had numerous visits to CGH, for myself, my mother and most recently my 7 year old son. I have been taken to A & E, been to the EAU , and have had follow up visits. My mother has also been to the A & E (twice) and now has my 7 year old son with a very badly broken arm. All I can say is I am in awe of all the staff at CGH. On each visit we have all been treated with such compassion and care. We are never rushed and everything has been explained fully. It has never ceased to amaze me how brilliantly we have been treated, and I can say this whilst comparing so many different visits, of 3 different patients all of different generations with different ailments. All your staff have been fantastic across the board, they have so much patience and compassion. They have been strong when they needed too (one with my 7 year old and his broken arm), supportive to myself when he went into theatre (Drs and nurses, who did not know why I was standing there crying all took time to ask me if I was okay), they acted with speed when I came in to be checked out for stoke symptoms and then proceeded to pass out. I have also been in the night shift from 12 am -4 am with a suspected heart attack (30/04/15) in the A & E department and had a Dr take such care and attention to fully explain to me my symptoms etc. They have all taken their time and looked you in the eye to discuss everything, I have never felt rushed, and yet I know in the background they are short of beds, work is piling up etc. I cannot say enough thanks to you all for everything you have done recenlty for me and my family, but truly you have all been amazing.
