"Kept waiting at Queen's"

I wrote to the Hospital on the 8th May to let them know that I couldnt attend a consultant clinic on the 8th June 2007 as I still wish to be seen i asked for another appointment with the consultant. 1 month later I still have had no acknowledgement or appointment.

On two previous occassions I have attended for a kidney scan - which required fasting and filling the bladder - I have been kept waiting, the first time 3/4 hour only to be told the doctor was not coming. 2nd time I was kept waiting 1.5 hours - so long that i had to empty my over full bladder. The Nurses commented the the doctor was always late as he visited another hospital on his way to Queens.(Private)

I wonder what has happened to patient care and customer service at this new state of the art Hospital??

I have found the service at Queens is not a patch on my experiences at Basildon Hospital,
