"Gastroenterologist Consultants"

About: Royal Free Hospital

I had an appointment on 1st July 2015, at the Royal Free Hospital, Gastroenterology Clinic. I have been suffering from chronic gastroenteritis bleeding for the last few months and spoke to a consultant about my illness. I was told by the consultant to have an urgent blood tests, CT Scan, Urine and stool samples which were provided. I am having a serious back passage bleeding, because of my chronic colitis. To date, the lazy consultants at the Royal Free Hospital have not followed up my test results. The consultants gastroenterologist at the Royal Free Hospital in my opinion are not very experienced and have to wait for that at least two hours with prior booked appointment time - that's ridiculous. There are doctors that like their job and want to help people, but in this day and age there are few. The doctors at the gastroenterology clinic at the Royal Free Hospital have no care for the patients at all. The consultant gastroenterologist at the Royal Free Hospital should get paid for what they do. Most Consultants at the gastroenterologist Clinic had time to go to a private patients while they are getting paid by the NHS.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear that you weren't impressed with our gastroenterology clinic. We would be really grateful to get further feedback so that we can look into it and improve our service in the future. If you could, please email rf.communications@nhs.net with details. Many thanks, Rachel (digital communications manager).
