"Worried and let down"

About: Chapel Allerton Hospital

Been discharged yet again for around the 4th time in 16yrs, with only fms and osteo confirmed, this time however I have an xremely raised ESR for 18mths which suggests some sort of inflammatory disease, in pain, feeling even more ill than if possible, yet they discharged me to my gp with a letter saying I'd had a clear chest xray, i didn't ever have one, and a conclusion from results that were 3yrs old, and on further testing by my gp, they'd got it wrong! I contacted pals and made an unofficial complaint, as NHS is precious and I know they're struggling, dr phoned me 4wks ago, apologised and said they were writing back to my gp, to request chest xray and abdominal scan, 4wks later, my doctor has nothing! I phoned yesterday, they don't know what's happened, andbsaid theybwouldbfaxvit through yesterday afternoon, nothing again, sitting here crying, feel so unwell, and am worried that by just being left something bad might hapoen that coukd have been prevented. So upset and feel very let down., not sure what else i can do.

Dear Anonymous

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell and apologise that your initial contact with the PALS team did not resolve the situation. Please get in touch with PALS again on 0113 2066261 to allow them to follow this up for you, as it seems there has been a breakdown in communication between your consultant and GP.

Kindest regards

Rosie
