Thank you to everyone at DGH A&E for the kindness, compassion and expertise in treating my hand. I had a deep cut to my hand and arrived at A&E very faint (and suffering from morning sickness). The staff were kind, helpful and understanding and while I had to spend a short while in the waiting area several staff passing through stopped to check on me as I was alone and sitting with my head between my knees. I didn't have to wait long to be seen by the nurse, nor by the doctor. Everyone was very understanding and every accommodation was made while treating me to make sure I was comfortable and kept informed of the proposed treatment. Even my squeamishness was taken into account - not necessary given I needed medical assistance but the thoughtfulness of discussing it out of my earshot and then offering me the choices with as little detail as possible, while still providing enough information for me to give informed consent was very much appreciated. Thank you for your kindness, expertise and professionalism from everyone I encountered at DGH. I know people are often quick to complain so I wanted to take the time to say thank you and what a great job you all do, often in difficult circumstances. You truly stand for what the NHS should be and my treatment was exemplary. Thank you again.
