"Caring for people with dementia"
About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead) Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead) Gateshead NE9 6SX
My 84 year old Dad was admitted on 6th May after a fall at home, attending accident & emergency, who were brilliant, over the next four weeks he was transfered between four different wards, which was deprimental to his well being causing more confusion. Ward 10 and 14 were satisfactory, but the last two wards he was on (critical care and ward 1) proved to be a different class, they just seemed to care more for a elderly persons needs, treatment was excellent and did everything they could to help my father. My father was eventually discharged and taken to be assessed at Shadon House, who were also excellent in their treatment of my father. Improving his overall physical and mental condition enough to get him home. A big thank you to all concerned.
