My mum was recently admitted. It's a ward for older people and many were left to get on with it. On many occasions mums table was left at the bottom of the bed so she couldn't reach, as she is bed bound and can't move around, she was unable to get a drink of water , couldn't use her buzzer as that was left well out of her reach! One day when I visited she was hanging over the side bed rail, she said she had been like that for a while with no help. When she came home she had a bedsore which she didn't have when she was admitted, and a large bruise down the back of her leg, neither of which we were told about by the staff - mums carers at home showed us. I only hope no other members of my family get admitted to this ward.
