I attended the hospital for my wisdom tooth removing last week. Upon arrival the 2 nurses were very welcoming and reassuring. They made general conversation with me to take my mind off of the procedure as I was shaking and very nervous and did get emotional and start crying when i entered the room. As for the surgeon, i don't want to go into full details about the surgeon and the procedure but they did not greet me upon entering the room, the surgeon did not introduce themselves or come across friendly in anyway. The surgeon did not guide me through the procedure or even tell me when they were going to stick needles in my mouth. Five days later i have been to my own dentist as my pain as got worse than the day they did it. My mouth is very infected which i understand may not be their fault as these things can happen but the surgeon has let me leave the hospital that day without telling me that they had broke the tooth next to my wisdom tooth which is what is causing all the pain. I have yet to let the swelling go down before i find out the full extent of his damage. What i would say is if they were a little more caring towards their patients and made them feel like they were going to be looked after i may of felt this was a genuine accident. Also i feel sorry for the student shadowing them as the surgeon is far from a good teacher.
