Two weeks ago I was unfortunate enough to be unwell. I attended a&e in extreme pain. I was then admitted to ward c33.
I must say I have been in hospital on a few occasions in this last year for various health reasons and have felt a little left even ignored and was dreading the fact I was being admitted however I needed help.
Upon arrival onto ward c33 very distressed and in extreme pain I was comforted and my pain was seen to immediately my stay on the ward lasted for 5 days I was never left or ignored infact quite the opposite and may I say I was a difficult patient the staff were outstanding.
Mr Kiran Jumani speciality doctor on the department of ENT was most excellent getting to the root cause of my problem and treating me with the up most caring, comforting, professional manner. I felt such relief it was overwhelming and I feel compelled to express my gratitude to him and all the staff on this ward they bent over backwards to help not only me but other people in my bay.
Heath care assistants, specialist nurses, nurses, were exceptional always there making sure everyone was as comfortable as possible. The cleaners and the voluntary staff were hard working and very nice to I must say how impressed I am and must also say this experience have restored my faith in sunderland hospital. Thankyou
"The staff were exceptional"
