What I liked

Jouney to hospital via ambulance: paramedics were excellent and caring.

On admission to a & e staff were present and diligant.

I was not told where the emergency button was and i asked for a glass of water, which arrived 2 hours later!

One hour later in a great deal of pain; staff were indifferent. It took ages for any staff to see me even though i was in a great deal of pain.

When the a & e nurses arrived they were abrupt and didnt seem to have any bed side manner.

On removal of a & e. The nurses were very kind and caring. I was without a doubt treated in the kindest of ways. Congratulations to them!

What could be improved

- Better bed side manners by the a & e staff.

- Offer of water or some drink if asked

- Regular check ups

- Taking time to explain proceedures rathers than being condecending.

Anything else?
