"Ward 9b"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital

I can't praise ward 9b staff enough for the care ol my elderly father. They are not only understaffed but are committed to nursing all patients in their care even when they have so little time to care and to document everything on paper and computers. The government must look at providing more nurses, health care assistants to all wards in the NHS. I would especially like to thank the sister in charge as well as the head nurse on Saturday 18th July as they updated me fully on my dads tests and condition so I could relay to my elderly mother. They are overworked on this ward and I don't know how they cope under such exhausting conditions. Some of the patients food had not been delivered although it is ordered via the side computer menu at the patients bedside. There are a few aspects of care that the government should address such as providing staff to help feed and drink patients who have poor memory and difficulties. The staff here are excellent and dedicated. Thanks to all staff on ward 9B
