"The reception staff are very friendly ..."

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

(as the patient),

What I liked

The reception staff are very friendly and do there job well, the student midwifes were better than the normal midwifes very good at what they are doing and very caring.

What could be improved

I am very unhappy with the care i have received at this hospital, i am classed as high risk due to previous pregnancys problems. The consultant i seen on my 1st appointment didnt even read my notes properly and was about to send me on my way if it wasnt for the fact that i metioned my previous history i wouldnt of been seen till i was late in my pregnancy which i wouldnt of reached as i only get to 32 weeks. He seemed like he couldnt get me out the room fast enough, he never even did an action plan for me which in high risk pregnancys should be done.

Everytime ive been back to the hospital i have seen a different consultant who has said different things to me about my care, they dont seem like they can make up there minds between them. Im out of my mind with worry already with my pregnancy this doesnt make things any easier.

Anything else?

Im looking into changing hospitals as i feel the care isnt what it should bem i felt my case was overlooked and not treated with seriousness.
