About: Russells Hall Hospital

Staff are good here despite the best efforts of the management. However the parking charges at this hospital are absolute daylight robbery. Recent increases of 50% means it is around twice the cost of parking in the centre of Birmingham. If ever there was a case of exploiting the needy this is it.

Thank you for your feedback about our hospital. It is good to know that you are pleased with the care you received during your visit. In line with most other hospitals in the region, patients and visitors are charged for parking at our hospital and outpatient centres. The money is used to maintain the car parks and to keep them safe and secure with 24 hour CCTV and security presence. Value cards are available to visitors who have relatives and friends in hospital. They are available at a fixed fee of £15 plus a £20 refundable deposit. Value cards give patients unlimited parking on the visitor car parks for seven consecutive days. We also offer a limited amount of free parking for patients attending treatment in the Oncology (C4) and Renal departments three times a week or more for an extended period.
