"Day Surgery Unit - Gynaecology"

I had a pre-assessment for my hysteroscopy on 9th July and by Wednesday 15th was having my surgery at the Day Surgery Unit at Barnet Hospital. Despite being very busy the whole department was very efficient, friendly and professional. There was a delay in my surgery by about an hour, however, I understand operations can take longer than expected and I was offered lots of tea and reading material. I witnessed the areas being meticulously cleaned especially the beds including the mechanisms underneath. In recovery i was well looked after by a very nice person, offered tea, a sandwich and juice and in no time was back downstairs. Please pass on my thanks to all the staff from Porters and care assistants to the Consultant. I would highly recommend the unit.
