I was in a lot of pain and away from home when I visited Kettering A&E department in the early hours last Friday morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were only a few people in the waiting area. The receptionist was friendly and efficient , although due to the nature of my problem it was a little embarrassing having to explain it in a public area. It wasn't long before I was seen by a male nurse who treated me with respect whilst eliciting necessary information and completing checks e.g BP , pulse , blood test. He was also very helpful in providing me with a larger than usual receptacle to enable me to provide a required urine sample. The wait to see a doctor after that was just over an hour and much less than I had anticipated. The doctor was very nice and put me at ease which was important due to the nature of my problem and the pain that I was in. I felt that they were thorough in his examination and that they listened and answered mine and my husbands questions in detail . I am very grateful for the pain relief that he prescribed which meant that I was finally able to get some respite from the pain that I had been experiencing.
"Very good Experience"
