"Appointments and lack of information"

About: Lister Hospital / General surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

Tried to change surgery dates for my son as we were given the wrong information when we booked it and had to rebook it when we went to see the pre assessment nurse.

I have waited for over 30 minutes each and every time I try to call them and there only seems to be one person that can do the job and you can never get through to them.

Its silly that on their paperwork they say you can contact them Monday to Friday from 9am til 4pm yet I know the person that does the appointments only works on Wednesdays and Thursdays! !

This is still ongoing and a major cause of frustration. Whats even more annoying is I had to go down there in person to sort out a new appointment.

This same post was made on the Patient Opinion service yesterday - here is the response that we posted then: "We're sorry that you've been having these problems, but we're very happy to help you get this sorted for your son. What you need to do is email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net with all the details and we'll take it from there for you." It may be that you didn't get the response we posted on Patient Opinion yesterday for you, but hopefully you will do through NHS Choices.
