"Consultant with lack of knowledge"

Gynaecologist I saw today had no interest in helping me, they were very rude, I've had my symptoms for many years so I feel I know my own body. I'm 45. This doctor had basic info about me but not in depth knowledge (I wondered if they had the right notes at one stage) basically telling me I didn't know my own symptoms (unbelievable ). Then said they wanted to give me an injection to shut down my ovaries, I wanted more information about this, as it is not a decision to be taken lightly, I asked what were the side effects and they said I don't know (scary!!) To which I refused. So now I will be inconstant pain for god knows how long now. I will now go back to see my gp (who is brilliant). I will make a complaint about this doctor and see if I can go to a different hospital or see a different consultant all because of this consultants ignorance. Very sad.
