"Wonderful experience"

I went into LGH with reduced movement on 04.06.15 and was induced at 39w5d on 06.06.15 (baby was born on 07.06.15). Baby's heart rate kept dropping and I'm usually a massive worrier but the staff kept me so calm I'm amazed looking back on it! I had to be cut to get my daughter out quickly and I lost a litre of blood. She was also back to back but the registrar managed to turn her without forceps. When she was born my baby girl had her cord tight around her neck which explains the reduced movements and dipping heart rate. There were so many staff coming in and out of the room and although I was worried, I felt like I was in such good hands and felt totally safe. My first midwife who gave me the pessary, then another midwife was there through all the contractions and stress of the heart beat dropping, then they delivered my baby girl. They took 2 hours doing my stitches and asked for the midwife in charge to check as well as they wanted to make sure they did a really good job! They made such a positive impact that I remember all their names even though I wasn't really with it!! The midwife in charge was great too and the anaesthetist and the registrar. They were all such friendly, calm and caring people who clearly knew exactly what they were doing and I felt so safe. The experience could have been so much more stressful and they all kept me calm and happy and focussed. My only sadness is that I can't get in touch with these wonderful people and stay in touch with them!
