My treatment at the hospital began in April, with emergency surgery for a kidney stone and placement of a stent. The communication between the urology consultants and booking was awful, and in fact seems non existent. If it had been explained to me before hand the horrors of having a stent I would never have agreed to it. 3 months down the line I still have a stent in and the pain and side effects from this are far worse than kidney stones moving. I am now on about my 15 th dose of antibiotics and am sick and tired of infections and frequent fevers with temperatures of 103 Fahrenheit or more. Through out the hospital staff varied from spectacular to awful. Ward 19 was very good with a fantastic and organised ward sister. Receptionist in bookings is also fantastic and very helpful. Between wards on my experience communication was also poor.
