"M2 pregnancy complications"

I was in M2 two weeks ago when I feared my waters had gone at 23 weeks. They kept me in two nights in total. On the whole the midwives were lovely, only one was dismissive as they'd "been a midwife many years" and if we weren't crawling the walls in pain or gushing with blood and fluid they weren't interested. However the doctors were worried I had a slow leak and said to report any loss of fluid. Which the midwife refused to note. Other than that the room was kept quiet and relaxed and the midwives were very caring, accompanying me on uncomfortable checks as my husband had to be home with the kids. A few points of improvement could be made. Firstly, the doctors would ram the worst case scenario home to me before performing the checks. Telling me if my waters had gone it was basically curtains for my son. Making me very stressed and tense right before a speculum. Surely this news would be better after, when they've determined the likelihood of that happening? Secondly, during my entire stay my regular meds werent checked, so I was off them, and I wasn't offered anything other than my clothes to wear until I'd already stayed the night. No soap, toothbrush, nothing until my second afternoon. Also my blood tests, which I was told would be back the same day, weren't forwarded to me until a week after I left. However on the whole I found staff kind, well informed (especially as I have rare health problems) and thorough. They also made me feel their door was always open to me should this happen again. Finally, I'd like to say that my experience with the community midwives has been excellent so far.
