I made a formal complaint about my mothers care in February 2015. She had been admitted via her GP 9 days previously.
Since then I have spoken by telephone, sent emails, discussed her case with staff on the ward, been in touch with the Ombudsmans office, sent a postcard saying so and I am still waiting for a response to our complaint.
Sadly my mother passed away in April and I let the feedback team know that and that I wanted to bring this to a conclusion and hopefully make a difference to those patients treated by NHS Tayside in the future.
Nothing has happened.
