I was being treated for a suspected DVT, urgent referral.
Treatment was anything but urgent, even without delays created by me being misidentified with a patient of the same name.
I was offered no food or drink.
I was waiting, essentially, 7 hours for a blood test and an injection. Not clinically appropriate to be immobile for this length of time when the likely diagnosis was a DVT.
I got home at half past midnight and was asked to come back the next morning at 09:30.
Again, I was sitting around for 7 hours, again essentially for a blood test and an injection. And again, some confusion over whether I was the right patient.
