"Brain AVM"

About: NHS Tayside Ninewells Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

Since cut backs, I was stopped having scans on my brain. I still had a clot embedded in my brain which I have always known about. In January of 2015 I was finally giving an angiogram which was instructed by Sheffield. The neurosurgeon from Ninewells stated that I would not have another episode of a bleed, but it turned out I had a slight bleed and the bleed lead to the artery that runs to your heart. I then had to go to Sheffield for further Gamma knife treatment. It's a disgrace why doctors couldn't pick up on this.

Dear "T88"

I am sorry to hear of your experience of care and the impact this has obviously had on you. Without knowing more specific details, I am unfortunately unable to comment further. However, if you would like to contact me via the Complaints and Feedback Team, either by email to feedback.tayside@nhs.net or telephone on 0800 027 5507 (freephone), I would be happy to investigate this further.

Regards

Alison Moss
