I went into LGI A&E with a suspected broken ankle, the nurses were by far the best I've met (I've been in A&E 8 maybe times) within 3 hours I'd been seen by a doctor and had 2 X-rays and got the results back. They said I'd broken my ankle and my 5th metatarsal bone. After that I was referred to the fracture clinic on clarion wing. All the staff there were amazing I saw the doctor quickly on the first time and they sent me for a CT scan, it happen quickly and they found two more broken bones, since one of the bones was chipped away they recommended a boot instead of a cast for my leg which was given to me very quickly. They then said that I needed to come back for another scan to see if the chipped bone would heal on its own. They recommended 3 weeks and I was given a scan date 3 weeks to that day. I went back and I soon as I turned up 3 nurses within 10/15 minutes had asked me how I was doing and remembered me! I said I was coping but crutches were harder than you think! They really are! Every time after that when I came back to see how I was healing the nurses were attentive and amazing in every way! I wish I could pay them back emotionally the same way they made me feel. Thank you so much!
