"Dissapointed Ist timer."

I went to minor injuries yesterday .... with a very painful swollen knee which suddenly occurred. It is a wonder I was not admitted with extremely high blood pressure after a 4hour wait. After about 2 hours the computer showed I was next but one to be seen, another 1.1/2 I was still waiting. People who had checked with me had left after about 2 hours. I was just being put at the back of the queue as everyone seemed to be more urgent that me. As it is called minor I was surprised to see some people needed very long sessions with a Doctor. It was only after complaining several times I eventually got seen. I had my knee bandaged given a crutch and some strong pain killer drugs. I defy anyone to sit in the minor injuries for four hours watching people come and go before you and not get upset. I don,t blame mothers of young children taking their child to the department instead of their G.P. when they can been seen within 20minutes. I think the old should be shown some respect /care also. This whole department wants an overall in my opinion. Twice in my 74 years I have used A>E but would but I don,t think there will be a third time, (perhaps thats the idea).
