What I liked
I have seen several consultants in the last two years, had one operation and a day surgery appointment; all the consultants were very professional, very friendly and took the time necessary to ensure I was well treated. I never felt rushed even though the consultants all had long waiting lists -very highly commended (Ophthalmology)!
What could be improved
A small minority of staff (usually the reception/admin) were less than friendly, but I do appreciate the constant work load they have.
Anything else?
Whilst the nursing staff were almost always friendly, helpful and professional I found the standard of dress to be generally low and the unhealthy size of many nursing staff to be a cause for concern. Nursing staff 'sell' the hospital to your customers.
