"Maternity care"

I had fantastic treatment and care from the staff on labour ward when I was admitted for induction. Both myself and my husband felt at ease with our fantastic midwife, who explained everything in detail and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The room I was in was spotless and as comfortable as it could be. I had to have an emergency caesarian and could not fault the entire team who looked after me. We were put at ease and felt safe in their care. I can't remember everyone's names but the anaesthetist, and their colleague were fantastic as were midwives and of course the Drs and we would like to say a big thank you for looking after us so well. On the downside, back upstairs after delivery the ward was quite shabby and the shower cubicle rather mouldy. I also felt the staff were too busy to give everyone the attention needed and definitely sensed tension between some staff because of this but could see everyone was doing their best.
