"C-Section"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

My son was born in October 2014 via C-section. It was planned and not an emergency, but I was still slightly apprehensive about it due to the bad publicity Queens Hospital has had in past years. If I could, I'd reach out to all mothers to be, to say; stay assured that you will be well looked after! Staff were all pleasant and very helpful. Hospital was clean and overall I couldn't ask for more. Both me and my boy stayed there for 3 days and two nights. My fiancé was always treated well as well and we never had any problems with him being there. The food perhaps wasn't the most appealing, but it had few options for each meal to choose from and to be honest, it didn't leave me starving. There was always a fruit available and endless top ups of hot drinks and water available. I'd like to say thank you to all staff for their effort in making my experience a positive one. Best Regards

Congratulations on the birth of your son, and thank you for taking the time to comment about your experience. I’m glad you have fond memories of when you visited us several months ago. Giving birth is one of the most exciting and daunting experiences in life, and we want to make sure that every one, mums, dads and babies, are all cared for to the highest standard. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
