"Good access to patients, the few ..."

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

(as a relative),

What I liked

Good access to patients, the few staff present are overloaded from what I saw.

What could be improved

There seems to be a lack of staff from A&E to the wards. The stroke wards particularly sem to lacl staff and volunteer helpers. There needs to be someone to help the patients eat the food they are served, also some miss appts with specialist staff due to errors/staff shortages. Staff do not always read the patients notes this can lead to near misses on administering inappropriate medication.

Patients with good family support are OK, those on their own, usually elderly are at risk.

I was fortunate to be a visitor and would not wish to be treated in this hospital under these conditions. There was an MRSA ourbreak on the ward, staff and visitors need to be alert to transferring infections between patients.
