"Lost all confidence"

I had an accident at home at the weekend I fell and hurt my ankle, my husband took me to A&E in Lincoln. I was seen by a Dr and sent for an X-ray.

After waiting for a while the Dr came into the waiting room and said nothing broken you can go. That evening I didn't get any sleep for the pain, so I rang my GP on Monday morning to see if I could have it strapped to give me some support, it did feel easier after it was done.

Tuesday evening I received a call from Lincoln County Hospital saying they had found a hairline fracture in my ankle and would I go back to A&E on Wednesday morning.

I attended A&E before 9am hoping what ever they did would give me some relief. I was seen by a doctor who was very apologetic he was sorry he couldn't do anything I had to be referred to the fracture clinic. I was given an appointment by receptionist on A&E when she gave me the date for the end of the week. I thought I have to walk around with a hairline fracture for the rest of the week. I have severe RA and struggle at the best of times.

I'm afraid I've lost all confidence in Lincoln County hospital and will only ever go again If it was an emergency.

The doctor could take time to read xray test results.
