What I liked
Directions in hospital - some staff in some departments are ok.
What could be improved
When a nurse says you will see a dr soon they mean it. Not being pushed from pillar to post.
A simple request to see the dr to get more info - is it such a hard task... ok know you are busy but when waiting 4- 6 hours to see one is outrageous.
Hospital was very hot too.
Anything else?
A relative was admitted to the MAU and as next of kin only a nurse could advise what was basic illness and if wanted more to see a dr. Waited over 6 hours first day of admission to see a dr and then 4 yesterday - only to be told had very little chance to see dr at weekends. My relative has short term memory loss which does not help. But please Basildon hospital you need kick up backside in your patient care and visitors care.
I am reporting this to their PALS dept hope they can help.
