"there must be something to like ..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

there must be something to like but can't think what. some of the staff were polite

What could be improved

my husband had a stroke,in all the 5 months he was in there, not once was there a doctor that sat with us to explain the cause of it,not at all like hospital programmes, where the doctor talk to the family. He had to have a peg tube fitted and guess what,he got mrsa, the first 2 wards he was in before finally the stroke ward,i had to keep chasing up staff, there was an instance that his sheets were wet through a catheter disconnecting,

Anything else?

went up there recently and had a hard job to find pathology, followed the signs, then all of a sudden they disappeared, very easy to get lost in that hospital.
