"A&E and orthopaedic department"

About: The Great Western Hospital

Following a slip on the 29th December 2014 and substaining a fracture of my ankle I was treated in A & E. The staff were run off their feet but at no time was I not treated with utter respect, kindness and thoughtfulness. Following many returns to the orthopaedic outpatient clinic I only encountered amazing staff who were always efficient and treated me at all times with consideration in all aspects of my care. The Consultant and their team were always willing to spend time explaining everything that was happening. They never gave any impression they were too busy to spend time talking to me, even taking me to view my X-Rays in their office when I asked if I could see them. Up to my final appointment in June 2015 I cannot find fault in any aspect of my care at The Great Western Hospital.(I am a Nurse of 43years, not connected to Swindon Hospital., so can be highly critical).
