"It seems no-one cares"

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My 88 year old mother recently spent 11 days in the RGH. During that time she was never bathed. I feel as though old people are just pushed to one side and considered a nuicance by medical staff.

The same thing happened last year when she was left for 3 weeks without a bath and I had to go in and bath her. Is this normal practice?

It seems that noone cares anymore.

I have noticed syringes being left on beds, patients buzzing and being ignored or waiting for ages to use the commode. Nurses asking if patients have had blood pressure taken or their medicines. What is happening and are there going to be changes to care in hospitals?
