I cannot commend highly enough the service and treatment that I have received from the Colorectal Nursing Team and the Oncology Unit at Warwick Hospital. To be diagnosed at age 70 with bowel cancer is an unsettling and upsetting experience, but, at all stages, from initial diagnosis through to current post-operative care, I have felt understood and cared for, and all my concerns and worries have been addressed openly, honestly, sympathetically, and promptly (including follow-up calls to my home, when an immediate answer could not be given) The quality and high standards of care run through seamlessly from the consultants and the qualified nursing staff onto the trainees and support assistants, and there is clearly a "customer care" ethos which defines the hospital and to which all those employed there buy into. I hope I will not require serious medical care again in the future, but if I do, I hope I am lucky enough to be treated at Warwick Hospital, and I am advising all my elderly friends to make the same choice!
