"I can’t complain"

About: North Ayrshire Council - Irvine, Garnock Valley and Community Alarm

(as a service user),

I used to have carers with the council but this changed around 4 months ago to a private company. I don’t know why, it wasn’t my decision. The carers come three times a day to help with bathing and housework.

The council was great, I like them better. They were friendlier and I could talk to them easier. I don’t know the new ones so well. Everything with the council was good.

The new service is also very good, I can’t complain. It is a different person who comes on Fridays but all are very nice. I get out to Age Concern every day, I’m their longest member!

The carers always ask if there is anything they can do that they don’t do already but I always say no. They are a nice bunch of girls.

Thanks you for comments regarding your previous and current care at home provision. I am disappointed to hear you were not fully informed with regards to the changes made in care provision but I am pleased to hear you are happy with your current services.

I hope you continue to enjoy your attendance at Age Concern every day - I am sure that as well as being the longest attending member you are a very valued one!
