Myself and my gp are still awaiting a discharge letter explaining why i was sent home from planned surgery after ide had my pre op tests the week before and then I turned up for surgery on the 30 th June seen the anaethsiatist was told I was second on the list, why my consultant on my bed had been changed, I was told by yet another consultant who turned up who wasn't even a urologist they're geriatric medicine that my consultant only does surgery on a Tuesday, I replied it was Tuesday. This Dr proceeded to inform me that it was too dangerous to do my surgery as they were on their own , adding that the surgery would be done in a different way adding it was major longer stay in hospital and I would be in hdu, a little drastic don't you think for a catheter replacement I told them of another issue which could have been confirmed by a ct scan this was turned on deaf ears , so I was told to go home and wait for another appointment by this this doctor who's not a urologist and not enclosed in my care , the doctor who's name was on my bed board I never seen, the last thing I got told from the other doctor was ill go and check the secretary when that's likely to be, I never seen them again when I asked the nurse they said the doctor is down in theatre, and as of yet ime still awaiting a discharge letter explaining why I was sent home and as yet no ct scan has been offered , what a sham and quite frankly I was never offered the Nhs choices to choose what where and when I have any surgery , any one would think the Nhs has something to hide? But I have the right to a discharge letter explaining why I was sent home I awaite this with eager anticipation and I don't do surgery to suit.
