"When the end comes."

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

We have visited my dad for 2 weeks in hospital, on the ward and on ITU. The care that he received was excellent. All the staff were very kind to him, nothing was too much trouble. Everything that could be done for him was done. Everybody tried there best. When we was told that he was going to die, me and my mum were looked after too. Supplied with food and tea and a room to rest. While we sat with him to the end. The staff made it so much easier for us. Thank you all.

Please accept our condolences on your recent loss. The care available at such a sensitive time is very important to both the patient and their family as the memories of these events are long lasting. Such positive comments are heartening and I will pass these on to ITU. I hope that you and your mother are learning to cope with this situation Regards Christine Longstaff on behalF of George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust
